a coastline that tests every coat.
The Illawarra squeezes your home between the Pacific and the escarpment. Salt blows in from one side and damp air settles from the other, and a tired coat of paint feels both.
You might own a weatherboard cottage, a post-war brick home, a foreshore apartment or a character cottage in Kiama. Each one needs its own plan, which is why we look closely before we quote.

the weather never stops working on your paint.
Salt that eats at paint
Sea air leaves a fine film of salt on walls, gutters and window frames. Paint laid over it lifts and flakes within a few seasons. We wash it off first, then use coatings made for coastal exposure.
Damp that never quite dries
Shaded southern walls and eaves stay wet long after the rain stops. Mould and peeling follow. We treat what is growing, let the surface dry and seal it so it stays clean.
Sun that fades your colour
North and west walls bake all summer. Colour chalks and fades, and fine cracks open. We recommend strong UV-resistant finishes for the walls that take the most sun.
Old coats hiding trouble
Many Illawarra homes have been repainted again and again. We scrape back to a sound surface, repair what is failing and prime before the colour goes on.

questions from Illawarra homeowners.
Do you really paint in Wollongong?
Yes. Our team comes down from Sydney to paint homes, apartment buildings and business sites across the Illawarra. We agree the dates and the full scope with you before work starts.
Will salt air ruin my paint?
Salt is the enemy of every coastal paint job, so we deal with it first. We wash it off, treat rust on gutters and fixings, and use primers and topcoats made for exposed positions.
Can you paint a weatherboard cottage?
Yes. We scrape and sand loose paint, treat mould, repair minor timber damage and prime bare timber before the colour goes on. For bigger repairs, see our carpentry repairs.
Can you paint my strata building?
Yes. We quote the exterior, balconies, stairwells and common areas against a clear scope, and we work with your strata manager on access and resident notices. See how we run strata painting.
Can you paint around my business hours?
Yes. For shops, offices and warehouses we can plan after-hours or staged work, so your doors stay open and your customers keep coming.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the size, condition and preparation your property needs, whether it is a coastal home or a house on the escarpment. Our Sydney painting cost guide shows current market ranges, and we write a clear quote once we have seen your project.
